Discover 42 Málaga, in a city where ancient history and cutting-edge technology converge in a vibrant tapestry of culture and innovation. Welcome to the Spanish Silicon Valley!

Even if the beach is one of its trademarks, Málaga is much more than that! This municipality of Spain in the community of Andalusia has a 2,800-year-old history, reflected in the traditional architecture and narrow streets of its historic centre. Birthplace of Pablo Picasso, famous landmarks include the Port of Málaga, where the Centre Pompidou Málaga is located… and its tapas!

For the last few years, Málaga has been referred to as the Spanish Silicon Valley. It has raised the interest of international companies in the technology industry, such as Oracle or Google. More than 60 foreign technology companies with headquarters in faraway places, such as the United States or China, have settled or expanded their offices in Malaga.

“We love working both with local and small companies to share their knowledge with the students as well as with big tech companies that have the ability to create strategic alliances to give the best experience to our students.”

Luis González Quero, Director of 42 Málaga

With 210 computers on site, currently 42 Málaga has more than 600 students from 31 different countries and has 22% of women studying. Notably, the Provincial Government is offering 25 accommodation placements for individuals from the province of Málaga facing financial hardship.

“This year, we were surprised when José Luis (age, 71) joined a summer piscine with his grandson (Salvador, age 18). It was an amazing experience!”

Luis González Quero, Director of 42 Málaga

This campus is the fourth to be created in Spain after Madrid, Urduliz -Bizkaia- and Barcelona, opened in February 2022. Its main partners are Fundacion Telefónica, Málaga City Hall, the Regional Government of Andalusia (Junta de Andalucía) and the Provincial Government of Málaga (Diputación Provincial de Málaga).

“At 42 Málaga, we have an unbeatable lifestyle, a growing tech ecosystem and plenty of people with a strong reskilling need… and of course, we have a beach!”
